I was adopted by a Christian family when I was nine months old. My Dad was so excited to be getting a baby girl! One night, in Bible Study, God revealed to my Mom what my name would be. I cried a lot at first; my Dad said I came to them with a broken heart. They loved me with the heart of Jesus, and helped to heal my sad heart. My mom says I was saying “hello” to people when she was still holding me in her arms, with a blanket over my face (I guess I had a lot to say, even then!) They raised me to know God at a very young age. By the age of two, I was singing in the church choir and volunteering to give Easter speeches. Very year, I was one of the host of angels in the Christmas play that my parents managed at church. They were also in charge of Vacation Bible School, so I never missed that either. I did my first ‘a cappella’ solo at the age of eight. By the age of twelve, I was already an Entrepreneur, selling Greeting cards and Avon with my best friend, to the ladies in our neighborhood! At the age of fifteen, I received the first-place trophy in a National Speech contest! I have been talking to people and starting small businesses ever since! God has called me to be a Leader, with the Spiritual Gifts of Administration, Service, and Helps. Honestly, I have always been an introvert, but somehow God has given me extrovert gifts (funny how He does things like that!)

Difficult Times

I’ve also had my struggles: being molested by a church deacon at the age of 10, the death of my Dad (my ultimate hero!) in my senior year of high school, my mom passing away in later years, and going through divorce, following 24 years of marriage! I suffered from Clinical Depression from the time I was a teen. Most of my close family members have died, I have lost homes, cars, jobs, and even close friends have walked away. Life has had it’s difficult challenges, but God has always been there: lifting me up when I was down, calling me back when I went my own way, protecting me, and showing me my true Identity in Him. Do you know one of the top things the devil works at stealing from you? IDENTITY!  I Peter 2:10 NLT

The Blessed Life

Today, I stand strong in my Identity as God’s precious daughter; healed from physical sickness and depression, delivered from despair and low-self-esteem, and anointed with the Holy Spirit in Ministry: through prayer, speaking, teaching, coaching and singing. I have three amazing adult children, who are a true blessing in my life! There is NOTHING that cannot be overcome through the Power of Jesus! I am a living testament of God’s Power and Grace, and I am ready to serve YOU! I am living my Destiny, through my passion for people. Now, it’s YOUR TURN! Philippians 2:4 NLT
Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too.
